The cheapest and most economical way to reach Abu Dhabi from Dubai is via public bus transportation. Buses in Dubai are equipped with air conditioning and all the other necessary facilities to make your journey comfortable. Public buses are available at regular intervals from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station.
On average, these buses take about 2 hours to reach Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station. Make sure you have local currency as these buses accept only dirhams. The approximate fare for a one-way journey in a public bus is about $7 per person. Well, that makes it one of the cheapest means of commutation here. 2. Taxi Services
Hiring a taxi is probably the best, the smooth and most convenient way to reach Abu Dhabi from Dubai. Taxis are available all the time. You would need to pay the amount in advance while booking. You can select the desired pickup date and time and you are good to reach Abu Dhabi. If you are staying at a resort or a hotel, you can ask the staff there to arrange one for you.
On average, it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach Abu Dhabi from Dubai via private transportation. You can also call or wave down a taxi on the road. 3. Rent a Car

5. Shuttle Services
If you have a ticket with either Etihad or Emirates then they offer free shuttles between Abu Dhabi and Dubai and likewise in reverse. You would need to book in advance for these free airport buses as spaces can be limited during peak hours. Make sure you have proof of your flight to show the driver.
