The cheapest and most economical way to reach Abu Dhabi from Dubai is via public bus transportation. Buses in Dubai are equipped with air conditioning and all the other necessary facilities to make your journey comfortable. Public buses are available at regular intervals from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station.
On average, these buses take about 2 hours to reach Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station. Make sure you have local currency as these buses accept only dirhams. 2. Taxi Services

If you have a ticket with either Etihad or Emirates then they offer free shuttles between Abu Dhabi and Dubai and likewise in reverse.
