Travelwings For Sustainability
As part of an environmentally friendly drive, Travelwings in April contributes a portion of every flight booking towards planting trees. Taking this forward, the Travelwings Ghana team in partnership with Green Africa Youth Organisation (GAYO) successfully contributed towards a tree planting initiative leading to environmental sustainability stewardship. Driving this mission, the tree-planting campaign aims to restore natural habitats, improve air quality, and contribute to climate change mitigation efforts in Ghana. The team of 50 enthusiastic participants including students of the West Africa Senior High School (WASS) and community volunteers, joyfully engaged in planting 100 tree saplings at designated areas.

Trees play an important role in preserving the delicate balance of our ecosystem and help in balancing our planet’s natural resources. Mr. Neeraj Bathija, Travelwings Ghana Station Manager while speaking to students and attendees during the tree planting, emphasizes the importance of contributing towards cultivating a greener world for future generations. The program was held on April 20, 2024, highlighting pressing issues like pollution, deforestation, and biodiversity loss, urging us to work towards a sustainable tomorrow.
