Leny Cubacub, a Filipina night market vendor, won the Royal Brunei Airlines round-trip air ticket with a complimentary meal to the Philippines at the Travelwings raffle draw. The live event took place at the Al Rigga Night Market, Dubai, on Tuesday (February 28).
Cubacub has been living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for over 14 years. She sells native Filipino desserts at the night market and manages her stall with the help of her children. She was happy to win the raffle draw prize and felt like the free trip to the Philippines was an early birthday gift.
Talking about her experience at the Al Rigga Night Market, Cubacub says, “Since my children and I come here to manage our stall every day, we often order dinner from the neighbouring stalls here. Savouring these homemade Filipino dishes would often make me and my kids miss our home back in the Philippines.”
The event took place in the presence of representatives from the Dubai Economic Department and Royal Brunei Airlines. William A was the other winner of the raffle draw that won him a free round trip ticket sponsored by Royal Brunei.
